Anterior Root Canals

Anterior root canal treatments are similar to posterior root canals in as far as the processes involved. The major difference is that while posterior root canals are accessed through the biting surfaces, anterior root canals are accessed through the lingual side—or the part of the tooth that faces the tongue.

Anterior root canals tend to be easier and less painful because anterior teeth have less dental pulp. Many patients don’t require dental crowns after getting anterior root canals.
